Maui is known for its incredible whale-watching, breathtaking rainforest, and picturesque sunrises and sunsets. The island covers nearly 730 square miles and is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Hawaiian tradition explains the island got its name from Hawai’iloa, the explorer who discovered the Hawaiian Islands. Hawai’iloa named the island after his son, who then named it after the demigod Māui.

Our nautical wood map of Maui, Hawaii, showcases the incredible topography of the island’s landscape in a way that you won’t find anywhere else. An artist uses a bathymetric chart to laser cut pieces of Baltic birch into the exact shape of the underwater landscape of Maui, expertly piecing them together to create the visual depth and dimension the wood chart is known for. The water is hand-stained, and points of interest are etched into the surface of the 3D wood map. The map is complete with a custom size solid wood frame and protective acrylic layer.

Showcase your love of Maui, Hawaii, with this stunning nautical wood chart.
